Fabulous trends! XOXO~!!

BeauBo Dresskill Rose Print Super Flare Lace Jacket

I love floral. Especially, my new obsession of sheer fabric
combined with floral pattern is an ideal item for this weather!
I like to keep feminine and romantic aesthetic along with ethnic tint.
I am sure this would work perfect during the summer as well-where most of the
coffee shop turn on their air conditioner to the max.

H Oversized Flower Print Satin Kimono Jacket

Seems like kimono silhouette is one of the most loving trend this season.
I personally would love to wear my summer kimono outside (well, technically, it's yukata)
but honestly, they are not that comfortable....also why don't I try something like this instead?
This jacket is light-weight and just enough to go with beautiful white dress and skirts.
I recently bought this long white sheer skirt from vintage store and can't wait to match this jacket!

Proud Mary Flower Print Suspender Skirt

So cute! Love the color palette. This suspender skirt is a perfect match with simple graphic
white shirts! It does look vintage-y and lovely-overload.
Personally thought of Liz Lisa
(Symbolic Japanese brand of girly, pretty, and lovely) when I saw this skirt.

Perfect example of spring night-out dress!
I am slowly seeing bubble-y items in many stores.. It's coming!!!

I really like this jacket matched with short denim and wooden heel sandal. Hmm
This style describes pretty much everything about this season.
I am not a big fan of short socks matched with sandals since that makes my legs look SUPER short.
Anyways, yea i think this jacket is a great way to add more formality into the outfit.
I am glad I don't have to see more of sailor-inspired jacket this season.....(not as much as last year..)
Aww there were too much of sailor stuff last year and I am pretty sick of it finally.
Let's go floral this time, yea?
Matching little accessories such as ethnic rings and bracelet would go well with this look.
And don't forget wooden heel sandals! That is definitely must-have and yes I do have it too!

Tomorrow is my school's graduation commencement + my 22nd bday!
Can't wait for those events and yes, i will post the photos soon!
Have a great weekend gals!

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago

So I recently had this great opportunity to go to School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Fashion Show.
I missed it last year and it was not very pleasant for me to regret thousand times after looking at amazing photos from the show. So hell yea I went! It was actually my first time going to art school's fashion show so I honestly did not know what to expect at first- I assumed it would be more experimental and funky.(and it was.) I was super excited to go and since I haven't been outside for awhile because of my new project, ( aww I still smell like glue-gun) it was type of little treat for myself and plus, great motivation. Here is a quick review of the show featuring incredibly talented fashion students' 2011 collection.

Many, many people came to see the show and it was good to see fashionable folks here in Chicago.
I was up all night a night before the show-I looked like a crap therefore let's skip photos of myself. :(
I am glad one of my colleague took great photos of the show- and here comes my favorites.

Sophomore's collection (My apology for missing designer's name!
Will update the names as I find it on my booklet! )

Garment by Truett Ogden

Garment by Liz Crum

Designer's name unknown ( I will find it hold on!)

Garment by Siena Von Knopka

Junior's collection

One of my favorite of the show! Garments by Lesya Blyzniouk.

Super natural look I LOVE by Evelyn Emily Chang

Amazing knitted garments that just made me awwwww~~
As a huge knit lover who barely owns any non-knitted clothes, I couldn't help but fall in love.
Designed by Natalie Burton

Oh yes this is one of the best. This geisha inspired garments by Pirada Muadsong
was so delicate and made in very professional manner. LOVE IT

Senior's Collection

Super chic all-black collection by Jackie Kim

Beautiful feminine collection by Erin Pianetto
The second garment reminds me of Tsumori Chisato- in a good way:)
Somehow this collection is somewhere between Antonio Marras and Tsumori.
Both of my favorite designers. Matching them with oxford shoes is just too perfect.

And finally, designers' turn.

Overall, it was very good show-thou only thing that made me little disappointed was some of the collection was just surprisingly lacking its craftsmanship. Most of the garments were just wonderful, but since I was sitting in the second role, I could see details of the garments and it seemed really incomplete.
(Especially there was this beautiful dress that was dropping its jewels/gems/beads everywhere on the runway as the model was walking.)

Well, I will come back with my favorite trend items for this spring+summer!
Hope u enjoyed the pics!

Favorite Street Snaps!

Who doesn't like all-black outfits when it is still chilly outside?
It makes me look slim, chic, and simply stylish.
I love how she matched black wedge sandal with this outfit.
And one of my forever wishlist- oversized black coat.
(with thinner materials..for spring! Oh Wait
I guess it doesn't matter here in Chicago. It's still freeeezing!)

So just like how I am craving for black wedges- seems like everyone does!
This season, there will be all different kinds of wedges in stores
including my favorite wooden platform wedges. I personally love wedges that
are not so steep (of course along with elevation)- just like this wedge she is wearing!

Everyone-has-it bag! Those bags are sure super convenient.

All the photos are from FashionSnap, the great kingdom of inspiration :)
